This winnipeg based four-piece has built a strong sound and an album which will hold it’s own in the ever growing horizon of music. With choruses that are equal parts pop hook and edgy delivery, melodic and emotional but definitely not emo, driving and aggressive but not quite punk or hardcore, Burnthe8track are unique in their own right. There is a lot of youthful energy in the music, and lyrically it is intelligent and political. Even the anger on this record comes across as anthemic. The lengendary Serpico (aka Sleeper) is a great reference indeed!
